WHAT ARE COOKIES?

BY OWNERSHIP

  • First-party cookies: sent to the user’s device from a domain managed by the publisher and from which the requested service is provided.
  • Third-party cookies: sent to the user’s device from a domain not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.


BY STORAGE PERIOD

  • Session cookies: designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website.
  • Persistent cookies: data remain stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, ranging from a few minutes to several years.
